From Central Dalmatia, getting to Brač Island can be achieved in several ways, going from Split to Supetar. You can take the ferry from Split to Supetar, but you can also take the highway from Zagreb, go all the way up to Zagvozd, take the tunnel to Makarska and from there you an take the ferry to Sumartin, another Brač village. If you pass Makarska and head down to Drvenik, you can take the ferry to Sućurje on Hvar Island. Stari Grad and Hvar Town both have reconstructed their ports and they're ideal for sailing enthusiasts. There's also Vis Island. Šolta is an island that keeps getting more modern, and features outstanding nautical destinations such as Maslinica, Rogač and Nečujam. The City of Trogir is currently building a new port that will connect it to the islands of Mali and Veli Drvenik.
